WeiDong WD1100 and WDE1100 wood chippers cut branches, bamboo, orchard prunings and clean green wood into chips at a typical 3–6 t/h. Both have a 400 × 400 mm trapezoidal inlet with automatic feed rollers and weigh 2 t; the WD1100 has a 76 kW diesel engine and the WDE1100 a 76 kW electric motor.

What the WD1100 is built for
The WeiDong WD1100 is a branch chipper that can be moved quickly to the work site. It chips pruned tree branches and other garden waste into fragments that are easier to transport, compost or use as fuel, so branches do not pile up.
The trapezoidal inlet is especially suited to round long wood, pruned branches, bamboo poles and clean waste wood left after building demolition. Feed rollers control the feed of the material automatically.
Regular pruning keeps urban trees and gardens healthy; a chipper on site turns the pruning residue into a usable product instead of a disposal cost.
Chipper or grinder?
Choose a chipper when the feed is relatively clean branch material and the project needs chips. For dirty mixed wood, roots, stumps or demolition material, review a tub grinder or horizontal grinder instead.

What is the difference between a wood chipper and a wood grinder?
A wood chipper uses blades to cut clean wood into uniform chips. A wood grinder uses hammers or cutter teeth and reduces material by impact, so it tolerates roots, mixed wood and some contamination better. Chippers give cleaner output; grinders handle a wider range of feed.
Is there an electric version of the wood chipper?
Yes. The WDE1100 has a 76 kW electric motor with a 380 V / 50 Hz supply as standard, customizable for the destination grid.
Can the WD1100 chip palm fronds?
Palm fronds and pruned palm branches can be reviewed for the WD1100 within its 400 × 400 mm inlet. Long, wet, fibrous fronds may wrap or bridge, so send photos and moisture information before ordering.
