Wear life depends on feedstock abrasiveness, soil, stone and metal contamination, rotor speed, clearances and operating practice. Inspect wear parts regularly and rotate or replace them by measured condition and the machine manual; replace hammers in weight-matched sets to keep the rotor balanced.
A starter kit of extra hammers or cutters, screens, belts, hydraulic filters and common wear parts keeps downtime low during the first operating period.
