Land Clearing: Roots, Stumps and Debris
WeiDong tub grinders reduce stumps, root balls, brush and mixed land-clearing debris close to where it is cleared, cutting hauling volume. The WD3600C crawler tub grinder (408 kW, 25–40 t/h typical) moves on soft, uneven ground by remote control; WD1690 horizontal grinders handle long trunks and whole trees.
What this application demands
Bulky, irregular feed
Stumps and root balls feed best into an open tub; a hammer rotor tolerates impact and the soil carried on roots.
Soil and stone
Soil-laden roots accelerate wear. Shaking, pre-sorting and inspection reduce wear cost and protect the rotor.
Rough ground
Crawler chassis (WD3600C, WD1690C, WD1380C) move on unprepared ground and reposition as the clearing front advances.
Output use
Ground roots and debris become boiler fuel, mulch or erosion-control cover; the screen is chosen for the outlet.
Land-clearing material arrives in every shape: root balls with soil, stumps, brush and whole stems. Processing it on site saves trucks and tipping fees, provided the machine matches the dominant feed and the ground.
